The Focus
Advantage
Focus Eye Centre is Eastern Ontario’s oldest laser vision correction center. After more than 15 years and 25,000 procedures we know that “success” and “excellence” are words that don’t mean much — unless they are backed by action and results.
That is why Focus obtained and adheres to the rigorous standards involved in ISO 9001 certification, and why our patients meet with their surgeon during the consultation process — well in advance of their surgery date. The team at Focus, under the medical direction of Dr. David Edmison, is committed to delivering personal care based on the patient’s unique vision requirements. This approach often results in surgical outcomes that deliver a degree of visual acuity in that exceeds what patients had with their glasses or contact lenses.
“Many people also speak of an improved ‘quality’ of vision,” says Dr. Edmison, adding that, “The best patient is a well informed patient.”
This patient education process means that Focus works closely with members of the local optometric community, and allows those considering LVC to participate in a Patient Mentor program where they can ask questions of those who have had a laser vision correction procedure.
