Financing
Laser vision correction is not covered by public health plans. Some private health insurance plans will cover a portion of your fees. We encourage you to check with your insurer. All fees and related expenses are tax deductible. Payment plans can be arranged for a period of one to five years, with low monthly fees. The loan can be paid off at any time without penalty.
Our Lifetime Commitment
We stand behind our results.
Eligibility
In order to be eligible for the Focus Lifetime Commitment program the patient must:
have had their initial laser vision correction procedure at Focus Eye Centre;
follow all of the post-operative instructions given by the eye doctor(s) managing
the patients care;
attend all of the required post-operative eye examinations; and
have an annual eye examination with a Focus affiliated eye doctor upon completion
of the one year post-operative review period. The patient is responsible for the
cost of the annual eye examination.
Upon completion of their one year post-operative review period at Focus Eye Centre, patients must consult their own eye doctor if they encounter any problems with their eyes including a reduction in their vision. Your eye doctor will advise you whether a retreatment would be appropriate and, if so, will refer you back to Focus Eye Centre for a further examination.
Benefits
Focus Eye Centre will provide any necessary additional treatments directly related to the patient’s initial laser vision correction procedure at no charge. However, if the recommended retreatment involves a procedure which was more expensive than the original treatment method, the patient is responsible for the difference in price between the original procedure and the retreatment procedure.
All post-operative medical care, including medications, following retreatment will be provided at Focus Eye Centre at no additional charge.
If the retreatment occurs within one year from the date of the initial treatment, patients have the choice of having their post-retreatment examinations at Focus Eye Centre or with a Focus affiliated doctor.
If the retreatment occurs more than one year from the date of the initial treatment, patients are responsible for the cost of the postoperative examinations if the examinations are not conducted at Focus Eye Centre.
Criteria for Retreatment
Patients are eligible for retreatment if their residual refractive error is 1.00 D or greater and retreatment is recommended by the patient’s eye surgeon at Focus Eye Centre.
Restrictions
Patients are not covered by the Focus Lifetime Commitment program if their reduction in vision is a result of:
an accident or injury;
a disease such as keratoconus, diabetes, cataracts, glaucoma, etc; or
presbyopia — presbyopia is part of the natural aging process and results in the
need for reading glasses.
